DNS Filter
We understand that as a business, you want to eliminate time spent disinfecting and reinstalling computers by preventing new malicious threats from being accessed and neutralise any existing threats already on the computers.
DNS Filter uses the Domain Name System (DNS) protocol, referred to popularly as the “phonebook of the internet”. When applications on your network make domain-name requests, these requests are sent to the DNS Filter servers instead of your Internet service provider. These requests are matched against a threat feeds database and your business policy settings. If a request is made to browse to a malicious/blocked domain, the user is diverted to a customised branded block page. This ensures that unwanted activity is cut off at the root, because the request never makes it to the blocked/infected website or domain.
This same process can be used to provide a content filter on the network to block non work-related websites like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as bandwidth hogs like YouTube and Netflix.
DNS Filter comprehensively covers all devices on your network, from servers and computers to printers and tablets.
